My revolution in Jesus Revolution

A revolution caused by Jesus. That is what I have experienced in my own life, seen in many young people’s lives and desire still to see in lives all over the world. For this is true: when Jesus is preached, He is able to act, save and heal.

These last 6 years I have been able to receive wonderful, transforming and inspiring teaching and to travel around in Europe seeing people touched by the love of God. He is madly in love with us! His hands are stretched out all day, all night to people that right now don’t even care about Him. Our task is to let them know. And as we do this we are changed too.

One of my best years

One of the greatest years I had in Jesus Revolution, was in 2004. I was asked to be the team leader of a concert team going to the north-western part of Europe. Knowing I was inadequate in myself for the huge task, I cried out to God for His help and wisdom. As Jesus Christ said…, I did receive. Ideas, help and wisdom. It was a wonderful team, a wonderful tour and a wonderful bonus; I got to know Paul, who has now been my husband for two years, and I am extremely thankful to God for this precious gift. I learned many things throughout the year, also from mistakes. We all experienced that as we stepped out from our own comfort, we saw God working through us.

I still remember a concert in Holland as if it was last week. We were all very tired and ready for Easter holidays. A girl in the team was injured and I felt as if I had no strength for another concert. As we stepped out in front of the people, I felt God’s Spirit in a powerful way, many responded to the gospel and we were all amazed. Truly, “it is not by might and power, but by The Holy Spirit.”
One thing is sure; God can use anyone who makes themselves available for Him. It is up to us. Not to accomplish, but to be willing.

Impacting Italy

What do you get if you mix a bunch of Jesus loving young people, train them for four days, and send them into the streets of a nation that is wide open to the Gospel? We have just come back from two amazing weeks of Summer Team in Italy, and God has done great things.

Healing Outpouring

After five days of training in the north of Italy, we came down with around 70 young people to the city of Bari, in the south of Italy. After the first day of outreach, we found out that many young people there believed in Jesus, but had never experienced him personally, or understood why Jesus had died on the cross. It was the perfect environment for Jesus to manifest His love in healing the sick. One of the outreach groups prayed for a man in a wheelchair, having a leg shorter than the other. His sister exploded in tears when she saw the leg grow out in front of her very eyes. All of the people looking on gave their lives to Jesus. Other people were healed from bad eyesight, knee problems, and more…

One of my life’s best experiences

My best experience was the last night, for the very last streetmeeting that we had. After preaching the Gospel, I called for anyone with pain to come forth. At first no one came, but then a courageous lady with pain in both knees walked towards me. I prayed for her and Jesus totally healed her. Immediately one other old lady came, with pain in her back. Jesus also totally healed her, ad she left crying for joy. Five other people came, and all left healed. Then two guys came forward, one of them wearing a t-shirt with a big anarchy sign. Their words went straight my heart: “We don’t have pain anywhere in our bodies, but we have pain in our souls. What can we do?”. It was not so hard to explain the Gospel to them…

Photos and Videos

In addition to the testimonies above, so many lives have been changed, both the participants of the Summer Team or the people they met on the streets. It is such a blessing to see God in action! Here are some videos of what we did, and here are some photos from the whole trip.
